Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Rivus, Reserva Malbec 2008, a typical but thin Northpatagonian Malbec
Rivus, Reserva Mabec 2008, By Bodagas y Viñedos Patagonia Valley, USD 16
A malbec from Darwin, Middle Valley of Rio Negro, North Patagonia.
A fair malbec with typical notes of both variety and northpatagonia. Balanced but thin and unimpressive. Well composed with chocolaty and toasty notes that add some completeness. An 86 points malbec nice and basic probably best before 4 years old.
