Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Domiciano de Barrancas, Malbec 2009, one top 2 under 10 bucks
Domiciano de Barrancas, malbec 2009, By Bodega Domiciano, USD 9
A Malbec from Barrancas District of Maipu Departament ,Central Mendoza.
Beautiful malbec with all the plum and ripe strawberries with a nice envelope of chocolate and smoke. Balanced and very attractive to the palate all through. Sweet and jammy. One sip after another is the best way to describe it simple. An 90 points malbec, great value and one of the top five under 10 bucks (if not the top 2). To enjoy best before 4 years.
