Mara, Merlot 2006, Selection by Ernesto Catena (Puerto Ancona), USD 15
A beautiful merlot sweet and soft but expressive. Fruity, mostly red compoted and sweet fruits with nice envelope of chocolate. No herbal at all and a minimal spice in it. It doesn´t have strong tannins to age more than 6 years without loss. Delicate and typical of variety.An 87 point red and a good value no doubt. A wine to enjoy with soft food.
