Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Fincas Notables, Cabernet Sauvignon 2009. Hard to make it in super high Cafayate Valley
Fincas Notables, Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, By Bodega El Esteco, USD 30
A CS from a single vineyard named Cuartel 9 `La Urquiza´ in Cafayate Valley, Salta (Nothwest Argentina). A regular Cab with nice black berries and a much bigger peppery note. The concentrated fruit lessen the herbal dominance a little bit. Agreable by the palate with a toach of toast and chocolate. I wound´t go far from 85 points because of the unbalance and wound´t pay 30 bucks twice either. Cafayate Valley altitude makes it realy hard for CB grapes to fully ripe.
