Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Prodigio Malbec Reserve 2005, a valpolicella winery doing Malbec
Prodigio, Malbec Reserve 2005, By Alessandro Speri & Attilio Pagli, USD 15
A limited edition of 14.000 btts mostly to Italy. A malbec claimed to be from Uco Valley. Nice wine with mature fruits a mix of red & black cherries, plum sweet and jammy with a beautiful chocolaty and sweet coffee line quite alluring. A little bit short in the palate, certainly not what you expect from the nose on. A 90 points malbec pobably best before 4 years aged when it could reach easily 92-93 points.
