Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Santa Julia Extra Brut, a simple and straight sparkling turned into a great value
Santa Julia, Extra Brut n/v, By Bodega Santa Julia (Familia Zuccardi) , USD 10
A sparkling made of Chardonnay, Chenin, and Pinot Noir.
Easy to drink and displaying all the palette of a classic champagne with acceptable balance and quality. Peach and pineapple with soft melony note and a solid cherry buckup of Pinot Noir. Very soft toasty note too. An 86 point sparkling with great value component. I like the classic structre of this wine.
