Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Diamandes (de Uco) , Malbec 2010, a little diamond from Vistaflores
Diamandes (de Uco), Malbec 2010, By Winery Diamandes,
USD 17
A malbec from Vistaflores district, Tunuyan Dpt of Uco Valley.
Deep blue with violet shade announcing a young guy. Very expressive nose and a palate you fall in love. Ripe plum with sour and sweet black cherries and berries. A dominant and concentrated malbec but not over the top. Some chocolaty and smokey toach well integrated. A 90 point malbec now that will evolve next 2-4 years somehow but I don´t now if much enough to step up a point. Great value.
