Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Las Perdices, Malbec Reserve 2009, a typical Agrelo at above premium level
Las Perdices, Reserve Malbec 2009, By Bodega Las Perdices, USD 16
A malbec from Agrelo District in Lujan de Cuyo Departament, Central Mendoza.
Well balanced and fine malbec. No bombastic neither explossive. Ripe red cherries and boysenberries. Nice chocolate envelope. Good and precise in every edge. To enjoy the terroir based malbec of Agrelo. An 89 point malbec with a plateau lasting 4-6 years easily. Good value too.
