Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Viña Maipu , Oak Malbec 2010, no one will uncrown this Maipu Malbec only if consistently offered to market
Viña Maipu, Oak Malbec 2010, By Maipu Wines, USD 6
A Malbec from Maipu Departament Central Mendoza.
All the balance and attractiveness I wish from a Real Malbec at Great Value level. That means less than 10 bucks and unforgettable for simple and daily arragements of life. Fully expressive malbec. Red cherries and plum with boysenberries in a perfect acidity and alcohol.
The palate brights wide and pleasant with only a touch of toast and even less of chocolate. The aftertaste allows you to wait the next sip. This is an 86 points Malbec. If this winery keeps this quality at this price level I won´t doubt to place it first in a top list.
Great wine. Great offer.
