Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Kooch, Coleccion Malbec 2008, a great Malbec from Añelo district of Neuquen province
Kooch Coleccion Malbec 2008, By Cofruva S.A. , USD 40
A wonderful Malbec from Añelo distric in Neuquen Province, North Patagonia.
Rich compote of quince and plum with red cherries even keeping a touch of fresh fruit too. Soft chocolaty and toasty notes well entangled. Nice acidity and alcohol backing up the expressive tannins typical of this terroir. Equilibrated and covering all over the palate with nice aftertaste. A 90 points Malbec probably best between 4 and 6 years of cellar. Not a great value as paid here. I feel more a malbec for the 20-25 range.
