Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

El Zorzal Field Blend 2009, A blend from Gualtallary to enjoy quite easily
El Zorzal, Field Blend Reserve 2009, By El Zorzal Wines, USD 22
A Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec blend from Gualtallary District High Tupungato Valley, Mendoza.

Dark blue with an opaque shade of red. Attractive nose from the first sniff on showing oaky chocolate and vanilla. It takes few seconds to palate black cherries and currant with black plummy punch. Good balance with nice aftertaste. A 90 point red worthwhile the try. It may bring the best 4 to 6 years of good age.
