Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Algodon Merlot 2008, the best of the series catching all the medals
Algodon, Merlot 2008, By Algodon Wine States, USD 15
A wonderful Merlot from San Rafael Valley, South Mendoza. Impressive red sweet and jammy fruits
ripe and full of a deep chocolaty note quite alluring. Its a seductive Merlot to drink without a stop sign.Soft spicy minty note but only a dash of it. A 91 points Merlot that I like more than the malbec itself of the same label. A great value.
