Callia Magna, Malbec & Merlot 2007, USD 8
From San Juan (a branch of Salentein Family of Wines) a soft and balanced red that won´t remain in memory but will do well for the accasion. Nice bordeaux color with luscent tone. Nose with mostly red fruits like cherries and red plum.There is some ripe black figs and a subtle hint
of bread toast and tabacco. All in a smooth tone. I´d say 85 points red. I imagine a good companion for pizza.
I´ve tasted the 04,05,06 and 08 vintages of this wine and gave similar quality and overall score.
