Quieto 3 Malbec 2009, nice malbec blends of Mendoza´s terroirs

Quieto 3 Malbecs 2009, By Montequieto, USD 10

Good malbec blends of three souces: Ugarteche (900 mts or 3,000 ,ft Lujan de Cuyo Dpt) Vista Flores (Uco Valley 1,000 mts or 3,280 ft) and Agrelo ( 1,200 mts or 3,900 ft, Lujan de Cuyo Dpt). Typical Mendoza Malbec with wide palate of dominant sour red cherries, red plum and red quince jam sweet and sour. Small touch of ripe juicy black plum like California Plums. Hint of smoke and chocolate. Not even a dash of vanilla. Nice aftertaste. I feel an 87 points malbec with very good value for the price to enjoy 4-6 years quite sure. As I said before I feel much richer a good pure Agrelo (high agrelo the better, lets say a Pulenta Estate or a Las Perdices or Chakana ) malbec than a blend.
