Goyenechea 135 aniversario, Blend 2006, By Bodega Goyenechea, USD 25
2006 blend for the 135th foundation anniversary made of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Malbec from San Rafael, south Mendoza. Super blend with great complexity even not the stroke of high lands of Uco´s or Cafayate´s. Interesting balance of red and blackberries with small plummy accent. Chocolate and vanilla softly mixed. Wide middle palate and nice aftertaste even not long enough. Small red and green bell pepper as a very secundary note. Probably to enjoy mature as it is now for 6-8 years from harvest. A 92 points red and a good value. A gentle and balanced blend.
