Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Old Vineyard (La Isabel), Humberto Canale, Pinot Noir 2009, nice and round Pinot from Rio Negro Valley
Old Vineyard (La Isabel), Humberto Canale, Pinot Noir 2009, By Bodega Canale, USD 19
A fresh Pinot Noir from Rio Negro Valley,(Rio Negro Province) North Patagonia.
Nice and fruity keeping a good wide palate.Balanced and ripe red cherries with a plummy edge. Very mild and not clearly unpleasant metal undertone. Strong and nicely balanced acidity. Quite soft chocolaty undertone too. Keeping a delicate balance all the way. An 88 points pinot fair and soft sound and clearly kept simple. The good tannins make room to improve further in 2-4 years.
(tasted at 16 Celsius).
