Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Cadus Blend of Malbec 2009, a very nice but overpriced blending three vineyards of Mendoza
Cadus, Blend of Malbec 2009, By Bodega Nieto Senetiner, USD 34
A Malbec blending three vineyards ,Vistalba district (950 mt/3100 ft, Lujan de Cuyo Dpt), Agrelo district (1050 mt/3400 ft,Lujan de Cuyo Dpt),and Vistaflores district (1150 mt/3700 ft, Uco Valley).
A very good malbec spreading floral and fresh fruits like red and blac plums with red cherries. All in a new oak envelope of mostly coffee. Good acidity and concentration. A nice malbec that will enter its polished roundness 2-3 years from now and probable its best 2-3 years more. A 91 points malbec that I feel overpriced here (you may get this quality here for less than 25 bucks, I mean not all malbec but quite a few of them reach a close quality by less than 25 bucks).
Keeping the winery (for which I´m used to find this price/quality ratio) and the price apart, the wine is very nice.
