Lassia, Pinot Noir 2009, stereotypical Patagonian at a gentle price.

Lassia, Pinot Noir 2009, By Bodega Patriti, San Patricio, Neuquen ; USD 9

Good son of Northpatagonia. Plenty of strong backbone tannins with sour fruit of boysenberries and mince jam perfume. Quite different from Mendoza´s standard of sweet round fruity style. The palate wont´ feel it harsh. Its attractiveness goes in discovering its layers and deepness. This Pinot goes 86 points for a young and ripe red but probably nicely mature after 4-6 years.Very good value too.
