Humberto Canale Estate, malbec 2009, By Bodega Canale, USD 16
Well balanced malbec from Rio Negro, Northpatagonia. Quite round and delicious fruit and acidity typical from Rio Negro. The alcohol is quite confortable. Nice dark chocolate and vanilla in carefull balance. An easy to drink malbec although not memorable. Knowing the local typicity this malbec has all the virtues but lacks concentration rendering a rather soft malbec. I guess many consumer may like it a lot. From my point I miss the strong tannins this terroir
gives off. A 88 points malbec with good value component. Round as it is I wouldn´t cellar more than 4 years for best richness.
