Calafate Malbec 2009, By Universo Austral, USD 14
Nice malbec from Añelo, Neuquen, Northpatagonia. A bunch of red sour cherries with a nice sweety edge that balances quite well the tannins. Good dosis of ripe cooked quince. A hint of chocolate in the end. Better initial and middle palate with short end and aftertaste. I´d say an 86 points malbec with good typicity for Añelo ,Northpatagonia. A malbec to enjoy probably 4-6 years with growing virtue if properly cellared. Good value too.
