Diamandes, Malbec Gran Reserva 2007, By Bodega Diamandes, USD 35
Very good Malbec from Tunuyan, Uco Valley, Mendoza.
Atractive wine from the bordeaux shade first contact. Beautiful balance of fresh fruits mixed with dominant cooked plum and marked chocolate and vanilla from oak barriques. Strong alcohol percieved that goes a little akward to my palate. All in all good balance and a very good wine. I´d say a 91 points malbec which could be enjoyed 6-8 years of proper cellar. A good value.
