Chateau Vieux 2003, a mature blend easy to go with any food or alone

Chateau Vieux 2003, By Bodegas Lopez, USD 13
A blend of Cabernet Savignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir from Maipu Departament, Central Mendoza.
The wine is kept on the winery several years before release. Brilliant but brownish like coke soda. Quite aromatic. Thin structure of nice redish fruit mostly remembering merlot and pinot with delicate smoke and very soft dark chocolate. Balanced and likeable all through the palate even though it falls short. A delicate and pinot/merlot driven red. An 85 point red easy to go with whatever food you decide. The wine is already mature.
