Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Quinta Generación, Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, an acceptable but basic Cab from San Rafael
Quinta Generación, Gran Reserva Cabernet sauvignon 2007, By Familia Goyenechea, USD 15
A Cabernet Sauvignon from San Rafael, South Mendoza.
Brilliant red with quite a brown shade. Expressive aromas of mixed emotions. Some well rounded tannins with wide middle palate red cherries sour and sweet. Good smoky toach and soft chcocolate. A litte bit weak however. A nice a balanced Cab that get much better with food. I´d say an 87 points CS a little bit overpriced here. More proper for less than 12 bucks (US values).
