Newen, malbec 2009, By Bodega del Fin del Mundo, USD 12
Nice malbec from San Patricio valley, Neuquén, Northpatagonia.
Fine aromas of compoted red wilds fruits like cherries, raspberries with some delicate roses and violets. Good palate with typical strong but balanced tannins. Soft chocolate and toast. A little bit alcoholic percieved a little bottering. I´d say a wine to cellar less than 4 years. A good value and a 87 points malbec. Not a very good malbec but it worth the price and you ´ll enjoy the typicity of Northpatagonia quite original and different of Mendoza.
