Don Nicanor, malbec 2008, By Bodega Nieto Senetiner, USD 14
A wine from Lujan de Cuyo Dpt, Mendoza. Brilliant red almost bloody with attacking aromas of red fresh fruits and red plum. The palate is full of unripe red fruits and a little too much herbal component unusual for a malbec (like harvested way before time or some trouble with canopy and irrigation balance). No problem with the aftertaste. Unbalanced unfortunately. I wouldn´t cellar this malbec any time at all. I´d say a 79 point malbec with bad price value.
