Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Martino Reserva Malbec 2007, an impressive high agrelo malbec
Martino Reserva Malbec 2007, By Viñas Don MArtino, USD 15
A single vineyard from High Agrelo district of Lujan de Cuyo, Central Mendoza.
Beautiful dark ruby malbec with all the flowers and fruits of high Agrelo. Oaky aromas of vanilla and chocolate entangled with violets and red roses. Attractive palate of black plums, prunes, and black cherries sweet and round. A well concentrated malbec. A 91 points malbec to enjoy 4-6 years from vintage and easily loved by most palates.
Great value at the 15 bucks level.
