Domaine St Diego. Grapes from Lunlunta dictrict,Maipú, Mendoza.
Blend of malbec, Cab Frank and Cab Sauvignon. No oak in aging.
Great spectrum of small fine red and black fruits, nice acidity and spiciness over a sweet tannin holding the structure. Very smooth all through the palate more at onset and middle. I love it. I´d say 90 points wine. It proves that you don´t need oak for a beautiful red wine reaching high quality (and a great price too).
The winemaker here is Angel Mendoza and the winery a family business. Every wine from this domaine is unique and personal through the vintages. Congratulations Don Angel!
