Tasting notes of a local wine lover without elegant literacy or web design. Just plain wine talk. By the same token I analyze the opened bottle with my senses, just at the very end I re-check the producer (I first checked it when bought it for sure!),vintage, terroir, and price. These data allow me to reconstruct the wine and trace a botton line.

Tapiz Syrah 2010, a great value at no money at all
Tapiz Syrah 2010, By Fincas Patagonicas, USD 10
www.tapiz.com
A syrah from Agrelo district in Lujan de Cuyo Departament, Central Mendoza
Quite interesting red, close to malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon in beauty. Ripe black cherries and plum with some toaches of prunes ,chocolate and an exotic spice like juniper. Realy attractive red. I´d say better first 4 years of life. A 90 point red and a great value. Worth trying more than once.
